Alcohol always sells... even in a recession.

The reason they've closed alot of stores is because they bought out many of their competitors, and then closed the stores thay didn't want.

And no... mystery person, they do not discriminate against gays and lesbians. A friend of mine, in an openly lesbian relationship worked her way up and manages a Starbucks. I've no doubt that there are some closed minds working Starbucks, but I would hardly say that as a organization they are discriminatory.
