Good to see I'm not the only one suprised by the Spider thing but Flea HATED the book and refused to read it while they recorded Stadium... to avoid "punching him in the face". Hilel's family hates Anthony. Particulalry his parents who blame a combination of Tony's influence and their bringing him to America for his growing up way too fast. When AK skiped the funeral they took that to mean that he felt too guilty to bury his friend. His brother is an advocate for Hilel having made his own decisions but his family (and more importantly, his estate) overall would NEVER approve the use of his name. And with Flea's daughter old enough to be this show's target market (and a little one I'm sure he'd rather grew up without it) he wouldn't give his seal of approval, either. Doubtful he'd quit the band over it, but he wouldn't let them use his name and likeness.

First of all, old news. Second of all, SPIDER? Since when does his Dad use Spider? I thought it was officially changed to Blackie, which was stupid enough sounding as it is (still listed that way on IMDB). Scar Tissue is an amazing book but he sold a lot of people out to make it, undoubtedly the reason why this show will only encompass the 70's. No chance in hell John, Flea or Chad would agree to their names being used if this was taking place in Pepper's years. Not to mention, the bevy of women who slapped him with lawsuits for the book.

Yes, that's Nick Hexum of 311. He met with Blake a couple months ago after hearing Blake perform a couple of 311 songs on American Idol. There were rumors he was working with Blake, but nothing has surfaced yet. This picture is a few months old. Perez didn't acknowledge its importance then and probably posted this picture having no idea that the person Blake is posing with is far more famous and talented than some kid from American Idol.
