Right, and the US isn't grappling with a ballooning trade deficit, an economy grinding to a halt, millions of ppl homeless, millions more starving, pregnant and barefoot, and education and health care system that's in the shits...but yet, they still feel plunking down hundreds of billions to fight a war for no exact cause was the RIGHT thing to do. Tearing homes apart, parent's grieving the deaths of their children, veterans who come back with missing extremities...is a much better way to spend tax payers money. The olympics are in the end, a financial investment in the future...they might have spent billions, but in the long run it will benefit the country and then the people.
You know seriously, all this hating of China and other countries I'm reading here is all disgusting to me and really shows all the things wrong with America in the 21st century. It's no wonder so many international countries hate us because we can't be happy for other people when they do well. People want to hate on developing countries like China, you hate them when they're poor, you hate them when they're doing well. This is NOT what patriotism is all about!
You wanna talk about cheating?? Why don't you think about all the athletes from the US who got stripped of their titles because they were shooting up on Steroids or other illegal substances. I'm sorry, if you can't prove that other ppl are cheating you shouldn't be accusing them of anything that can't be proven. Just be happy for other people when they win and be graceful if you must lose to a more formidable opponent. All this hatin' just makes Americans look like barbaric, country, racist, sore losers!!!
