it makes me really sad that so many people are posting saying that it's okay to park in a handicapped spot, if it's only for a few minutes. IT IS NEVER OKAY TO PARK IN A HANDICAPPED SPOT YOU ASSHOLES!!! The reason people like me need those spots is not because they're close but because there's a lot of extra room for us to get our wheelchairs out of our cars. And when disgusting inconsiderate people park in those spots, people who actually need them suffer. it's bullshit. don't park in handicapped parking spots unless you need it. that's ridiculous and LAZY

being from the Syracuse area, i find this particularly sad although not surprising. syracuse is a mostly republican area and has done many injustices in the past. My heart goes out to this family and Syracuse should be ashamed that this could happen in the community and scream from the mountain tops that these disgusting acts of hate will not be tolerated

Perez, as Ms. Wheelchair Massachusetts 2008, I can't tell you how glad I am that you put up a post about a foundation for people that are in wheelchairs!! October is Disability Awareness Month and I think it's REALLY important to keep the disabled in the spotlight. Christopher Reeve was such a good advocate, however when he passed away, the attention to the issue died too. thanks for bringing it back!
