My dad died of pancreatic cancer. He was diagnosed in June, 2008. He didn't want chemo, but my mother convinced him. He lived until October, 2008. I don't know if the chemo helped him or not, but the thing is, pancreatic cancer has nothing to do with survival. It is mostly a death sentence, and in that situation, each family must decide what is best. We practice naturalistic remedies our whole lives together, and nothing would have saved him. It ravaged him, made him sick, puking all the time and feeling feverish. Cancer does that too, though. It's difficult for anyone who hasn't suffered terminal Cancer to comment on the medicinal merits of one drug or herb...
The funny thing is, for all you people who say that nothing to 10% is fair or should be expected, if this were really the case, no one would be servers. It just wouldn't be worth it.
Servers have to tip out several people based on sales, not on the amount of tips they made. So, if everyone left 10%, every server I know would just get a job at Starbucks or somewhere else. The amount of work that goes into serving and the crap servers put up with wouldn't be worth the money...
Ugh, what little respect I had for Rolling Stone magazine has been obliterated. In my mind they are now on the same plane as Teen Bop or Tiger Beat, whatever little 13 year old girls read. They should stop writing political articles and start offering advice on how to best hide your tampon string in a bikini, and how to get your crush to like you.
