Why oh why does PETA get their panties all in a twist over fur, but often say nothing about leather!? I'm pretty sure the animal is just as dead. They go after Armani for fur, but can somebody please name for me a major designer that doesn't work with leather!? The people at PETA are hypocrites, HUGE hypocrites. I have been a vegetarian since the age of 9, and before I knew any better I used to support PETA. They protest the use of animal products in medicines, but one of their board members takes animal derived insulin for her diabetes. She claims that it's "OK" for her to use animal products, because she needs to be alive to continue fighting the good fight, it's just not OK for anyone else. I'm sorry but I don't value any human life over another, we are ALL people, and we all deserve to be alive to fight for whatever we believe in. I am an animal rights activist, and I always will be. But PETA is nothing more than a corporation with dollar signs glistening in their eyes, that's what they care about, not the animals. It disgusts me.
