i love kate. so what if she's been caught on camera doing drugs? not the smartest move, but it hardly hurt her career; in fact, she's gotten even more publicity since then. i also respect the fact that she's never spoken about it on the record. it's her life. as for her penchant for addicts, a huge problem with society is relegating people with physical addictions to sub-human status and writing them off...an addict has been through a lot, has been down and out, and knows what it is like to truly hate yourself but to not be able to stop. these guys are more real than most celebrities.

um...this doesn't exempt the possibility that they hired someone or were involved in another way. or just smart. the father is a sympathetic character, but did everyone forget the verified stories about JB's fucked up mother and her relationship to her daughter? It's a little too If Joan Crawford Were a Stage Mother for me to believe the entirely family is innocent.
