on Sad News: The Rescue Effort Is Over! at 23:47 03/03/2009

This story makes me so sad. Marquis Cooper is from the same area I live and his dad's a local TV sports anchor (here in Phoenix). His dad, like his son, seems so good, kind, and extremely personable. Unfortunately, since the boat capsized Saturday afternoon there's an extremely low chance of finding anyone else alive. You can only survive approximately 3 days w/o water, plus I'm sure they suffered from hypothermia. Pretty much any chance of survival for the missing men is over... However the Cooper family has hired a search party of their own to keep searching for Marquis and the rest of the missing men. The family's search will being tomorrow... Very, very sad.

I'm originally from the Detroit area and I've never warmed to K. kilpatrick. Dettroit needs a smart, loyal, and honest person. It's such a shame for such a great city.
