Telemorase has been studied for a really long time (I've studied it). Though I'm not sure if inhibiting the enzyme (which is what they're planning to do) is safe. Sometimes, cells need to die because, for one main reason, they could be cancerous. You're not going to live forever if you're harvesting a body of "bad" DNA.

PS--Spain has money *and* supports scientific research?!
