There is no issue more important than equality. It is what America is supposed to be founded on. Saying things like 'Obama has more important issues to deal with' i.e. war, terrorism, is absolute malarkey and political peddling. If we can't get our shit together at home, and actually SHOW the rest of the world we mean what we say, not just SAY it...good fucking luck trying to straighten out the rest of the issues. Furthermore, it's should be such a non-issues that all people are equal here, that the fact that we're still having to debate an fight about basic things like equality is actually DISTRACTING us from being able to solve these other problem. Obama, with all due respect, grow a pair, at least SAY something on this issues, and let's get on with it already.
