I have to agree with caroaber. There is a significant absence of black latino and indigenous representation in the media and popular culture. Ever watch telemundo?....I've seen more people on that network who look like they're German rather than Latino. There's nothing wrong with embracing the European in Latinos but lets not forget the DEEP African and indigenous roots many Latinos have(whether they look it or not!). Before the Europeans invaded and stole the Americas, the indigenous were there first. When the Europeans came, they brought millions and millions of African slaves to north, CENTRAL and SOUTH America!
