Perez, I don't think you understand what it is like in Michigan. The auto industry was our life-line for a century, and now it is in the shitter. Further, if it is in the shitter, it's much harder for Detroit to make more energy/fuel-efficient vehicles, stalling the green auto movement. Detroit has the highest foreclosure rate in the nation and the rest of our state is feeling this severe economic decline. It's easy to be all high and mighty when you are from a state that's biggest worry is a union strike for the film and tv industry, but out here in the real world people in Detroit are fucking dying because they lost their job at the factory and their houses are being foreclosed upon.
