Jellybean_girl - is Perez Hilton's gossip site the only place you look at for news and current affairs? It's all over the internet with plenty of people trying to explain it. My main problem is that people are getting all huffy and puffy that the skit did nothing wrong and instead of trying to understand why Harry found it offensive, they are just getting defensive. Did Kyle Sandilands (Aussie people will know) MEAN to offend people involved with the holocaust, with his stupid comments about Magda - probably not - but he DID offend them, and rightly so. The Holocaust didn't happen in Australia, but we still know about it. Regardless of whether we did or didn't know about why blackface is offensive, hopefully we do now and instead of crying out that it's just our humour, should perhaps humbly admit it was a mistake, and move on.

Honestly! Simpletons! He was NOT blackface in that clip, he was NOT pretending to be a black preacher...he WAS pretending to be a WHITE southern preacher, and frankly it's irrelevant....GEEZ LOUISE!

Many Australian's seem to having a very hard time grasping why this was offensive to someone, I don't know why and honestly, you would be better off talking to a wall then bothering to explain it to some of them - those jumping up and down saying it's just 'a tribute' or 'Australian humour' don't seem to WANT to know why it was offensive to Harry. (oh, i'm Australian by-the-way).
