Mister Man, you need to let this go. You admit yourself in your statement that this was "an overhead prop being rapidly lowered." Had the stagehands realized you were going to finish your portion of the opening number and attempt to milk applause from the audience, they probably would not have dropped the set as quickly. They probably assumed you were going to finish and make a quick exit like EVERY OTHER PERFORMER did, including Dolly Parton, Elton John and Liza Minnelli.

I think it's insulting that Clay Aiken would proclaim himself to be as "equally talented" as Ruben Studdard. The only reason he made it to #2 was because the other people that season sucked more than he did.
