Perez, I 100% agree. I am a HUGE (straight female) fan of hers, and I was sooo happy, impressed, thrilled, everything. I flew from Dallas to see her at the Hollywood Bowl. And although, I am not rich by any means, I would pay $125 all over again to see her in NYC. I wanted so much more, but I was still satisfied. She is so beautiful, and that show was definitely for the fans. COME BACK, Kylie, pleeeeeeease!
I know this is a horrible thing to say...but I really hope good comes out of all her work bc for the most part it all seems so self-promoting. The situation in Kenya is horrible, and I really don't understand how these photo-ops help anything. I'm sure she has good intentions, but she is also superbly calculating. She exudes this whole, I am doing such important work, therefore I am too busy to eat. Is that a healthy image for girls, women, etc? I totally commend good work, but when Bob Geldof wanted to feed Africa, he actually organized something to raise more awareness and money. I get Angelina is a UN Ambassador, but what is she doing to get any of these problems solved except providing PR for the UN and for herself?
It's become clearer and clearer that Perez is out doing his celebrity thing, and that there are new writers or is a new writer on this site. Whoever it is, I enjoy it way more than the old Perez stuff. Unless, this is Perez, and he can actually form a complete thought, now.
She needs to stop. Please just stop. It's sad that people in America are so unfamiliar in a kitchen that they are finding this noble and endearing and defining it as COOKING. My whole family are chefs are cooks, and this is not cooking. This is frightening. Not because she is TRYING. I love people who like to cook and experiment, but she posted it like some wannabe foodnetwork star, or WORSE, like she's Martha Freaking Stewart. Not even in the same universe. Just stop.
