Who is your source? I am so tired of all of these people claiming to be close to the family. Until an actual member of Michael's family confirms this stuff to an actual reputable media outlet, I will not believe it.
Oh please! Who is Shanna Moakler to take away her crown? She's done things that are a lot worse than what Carrie Prejean has done. This whole thing is about them not liking the fact that she doesn't think and believe what they do. She has a mind of her own. They want her to represent the people of California who are like them - not everyone in California. Heck, the majority of Californians agreed with Miss Prejean.
Other contestants have supported all kinds of causes and taken naugty photos, but they still have their crowns. If she had said that she supports gay marriage and done an ad for GLAAD this wouldn't be an issue. They'd be singing her praises. Moakler and Lewis are ridiculous.
I have read the Bible, and I don't pick and choose verses to further a cause or prejudices. I love others as God loves me. Having said that - being a reader of the Bible - I must say that (taking into account the Old Testament and focusing on the teachings of Jesus and the disciples in the New Testament) marriage should only be between a man and a woman.
I don't have any hatred in my heart towards Perez or any other gay person. My belief concerning marriage is my personal and religious belief. If Vermont, Connecticut, and whoever want to legalize gay marriage, then that's their decision. I'm not going to scream, argue, or whine about it. I respect their decision; and I hope that Perez, Hollywood, and media run by Hollywood will show respect to those who don't think like they do. I also pray that Perez will get rid of his hatred toward Miss Cal and those who share her beliefs.
Perez - if you're going to write and talk about acceptance, tolerance, respecting others; then you need to respect and love those who do not think and believe as you do. Practice what you preach.
Clearly Mr. Blair does not understand what he has read in the Bible. Of course we aren't going to do everything that was done in the Old Testament. The OT is before Christ. You are to live by what Christ taught. Jesus taught us that some of the old ways that were mentioned in the Old Testament were incorrect. He and the apostles said in the New Testament, however, that homosexuality is wrong. Now, that doesn't mean that I go around hating other people because that too is wrong.
