as a daughter of a mormon mother, i can say that many of those points are true.
regardless, the entire concept that marriage should be tied into taxes is absolutely absurd. i don't believe any church whatsoever should be forced to join a union under their ideals if the couple does not follow the beliefs of the church.
that being said, the propaganda behind many americans thinking that obama was a muslim did not prevent him from being elected president. to blame the media or propaganda of a church on the entire reason for the vote of a state is shameful.
mormons do not hold the majority in california or in any other state that has outlawed gay marriage. the scapegoat of this group is no different than the overturning of the gay marriage ban.
