they're totally in the right. your image and their does not mesh. just look at the type of ads you attract. these organizations rely on grants and donations and most large donations come from very wealthy people and companies. these people and companies research who they'll be donating to and if something doesn't please them...
someone checked the company's marketing and an appearance on your site counts as such.
they're right in being super pissed. you didn't ask them to be featured and look what happened.
