That isn't true, skin cancer can be diagnosed in anyone although it is more LIKELY to cause cancer in lighter skinned people probably because they feel the need to spend the time to get tan so they're in the UV light for longer periods of time and the lack of melanin in the skin allows the rays to penetrate deeper.. I'm not sure exactly what but it makes it worse. But that doesn't mean if you have naturally dark skin you're immune!!! If you're outside a lot or if you do go tanning to get even darker you still have to be careful because it will have the same effects.
