on A Worthwhile Cause at 19:24 11/24/2008Although I am a vegetarian I do support this charity. I travelled to Nicaragua in May of 2008 and have been changed ever since. Not everyone in the world, especially those who live in a 3rd world nation, subscribe to the dietary lifestyles that many people, like myself, do. I do not believe in the disgusting ways in which major companies treat and kill their animals, but the people of Nicaragua and the people in the villages like Wasala, or Sutiava and Leon (which i visited) need to make an income any way possible to allow their children a fair education. Not every nation and not every child in the world have education, and people have to take notice that things must be done to begin the process of giving children this education. So, allow these families to raise the pigs, sell them, and allow these kids an education. Don't be so mindless and believe everyone needs to follow your dietary restrictions. Don't be so foolish and stop putting a pig in front of the well being of a child. If your child was starving and had no schooling I think you would sell a pig. Until you understand the other side, don't go bashing this charity that is actually allowing a movement to occur in a nation you probably have never been to.
