Regardless of your "party" preference - If Palin had made an emotional comment in regard to losing a loved one - or even if she had got a little choked up discussing her child with special needs & Biden did not show an ounce of compassion or at least some type of recognition to her statements - he would have been blasted by the media & criticized heavily for not at least acknowledging her comment.
