I think that Adam just needs to stay strong and stand by his OWN convictions- which is exactly what he did in that interview. He's NOT turning his back on the gay community, but he also strongly does not believe in defining himself based on his sexuality. He does not want to be the "gay poster boy", and I think it's incredibly, incredibly rude of anyone (*cough*Hicklin*cough*) to EXPECT him to be. By simply being himself and NOT letting his sexuality define him, he IS making a statement for the gay community- perhaps an even bolder one than if he were to go out and start being "all about being gay". He's simply being unapologetically himself, and advocating for people to stop thinking about "the gay community and the straight community", and simply become a HUMAN community. And I think that's very powerful. But even if it's not, he has the right to do whatever makes HIM most comfortable doing. He's already very openly out. So it's not like he's hiding in the closet and lying. From here on out, it should be whatever helps him sleep easy at night. He'll never be able to please everyone, and he shouldn't feel like he has to.
Dude, Adam has had LOTS of input. haha. He's just not the kind of artist that necessarily writes all his own music :) He co-wrote like 4 songs on the album I believe though, so he's definitely been a part of that process. But for the rest of them, he's all about the collaboration! I'm SURE that he sat down and went through all those other songs that were given to him as options, and that he was the one to decide which ones he liked enough to record. And then in the studio everyone who's worked with him has talked about how pretty much if he wanted to try something, everyone was more than happy to try it. He's definitely had a hand in everything. It's going to be an amazing album!
I happen to love it :) It's actually a REALLY cool photo artistically. At first glance it may just look girly and sparkly and gimmicky, but it's actually very subtley saying a TON. It's all about duality: try isolating each side of his face, and look closely. The left side is softer, with the hair back, the eyes being pulled slightly up. and a purple hue. It's the "feminine" side. The right side is brighter, harsher, with a blue hue. It's the "masculine" side. Once you really isolate the two sides and see it, it gives a whole new artistic meaning to the picture! VERY cool
Tooooo much adorableness to handle!! And not ONLY are they both ridiculously cute looks wise (though I've gotta say these are not particularly flattering pics of Gavin)- but they're also both INSANELY talented with heavenly voices, and also they're two of the nicest people you will EVER meet. Legit. Like... they're just truly, truly fantastic people who exude 100% positive energy and love :D So yeah, definitely one of the most awesome couples I could ever think of
