i'm a huge fan of both arcade fire and the shins, but remember the shins were on sub pop records when they really exploded onto the scene (not their own), and one could argue that people have only heard of them because of their stuff on garden state (which i'm sure sub pop helped happen) that really propelled them into the spotlight. so in that way the shins and hanson had the same kinda lucky break. it's not really fair to write hanson off as irrelevant because they had one big hit when they were kids, they've had a whole career after.
i'm not sure how much listening to their newest stuff you've done, but it's def worth a listen!
yeah perez I loved this post! Hanson would have nothing but good advice for the Jonas brothers, they've continued to make great music for a long time, yeah maybe they're not all over the stinkin' radio but they have a good career.
I'm seeing them next month at the HOB in AC! and they're nothing but good peeps
If he wasn't popular he wouldn't have won TWICE.
