I'm pretty sure there are some statements about vanity being a sin in the bible; regardless, Carrie belongs to a group that believes that the bible is the complete and inerrant word of G-d and since breast implants and plastic surgery aren't specifically mentioned in the bible (let alone being condoned by Jesus) shouldn't she have avoided getting them?

this girl is totally effed up and, it seems, the worst of the damage came after her father was pretty much out of her life. Her little sister doesn't appear to be too far behind her. As bad as Michael Lohan appears to be, it seems as though he is the one trying to get her to clean up her act, while Dina continues to enable her poor and dangerous choices and that shows the a much worse parent than the douchey father.
