I really don't feel sorry for him because he had plenty of money and just blew it all (with his wife's help) This should be a hard lesson for us all--don't spend what you can't afford.
This has nothing to do with healthcare. Ed and his wife just like to live high off the hog. I know many people who would love to have the opportunity to have that amount of money so they can afford the basic necessities.
Bailing out Ed would be like bailing out Enron. There would be not lessons learned from it.
