yes p, simply stated by brit brit. of course she doesn't address the issue and won't admit that she can barely sing if at all. if people want to pay to see her lip synch, let em. it's there choice, but it shouldn't be represented as if it's live. if you're thirteen, you probably don't care either way, but if you're older than 13, even if it was live, that's pretty lame that it interests you.
p says "seven figure deal" like that's some outrageous amount for a bankable talent. please. granted his "ali g" movie is no where near as funny as the hbo program, but bruno & borat both made money and critically lauded for inventiveness.
i can see why some people don't find him funny. not everyone has a developed sense of humor. most people are complacent with being entertained by a lip-synching brittany spears or wrestlers pretending to fight. not ironically, cohen's fictitional characters elicit actual truth in our culture. that's too much for the simple-monded.
it's a very funny & memorable moment from his signature movie. what's the difference if in a commercial or the whole movie on hbo or tnt. chris loved to make people laugh and i'm confident he'd have no problem with it. "fat guy in a little coat" always makes me laugh.
how can anyone be excited about a performer who can barely sing, lipsynchs live, is the worst dancer on the stage, and can't write a song or play an instrument. pro wrestling is more real than brit brit. have a little self respect and care about an actual artist
