Hey, how bout you actually talk to REAL mothers who HAVE to be in the system before you run off on your ignorant tirade?
I work 60+ hours/week (which means I pay TAXES). I go to college 20+ hours a week (more TAXES). And any other time I have I'm with my 3 year old daughter. I'm 22. I had to get my daughter Medicaid (which is welfare health insurance) because she has tumors and no other company would take her. Not to mention her medical bills are outrageous and just impossible for me to pay at this moment. So instead of pointing fingers at us LAZY mothers how bout you have a chat with the fathers that PROMISED us they would stand by our sides and help raise our children?? So before you know what it's like to count pennies and skip meals so your baby can eat... how bout you shut the fuck up? Thanks!
So so so so so sad. Good thing I've never heard of him! You don't have to be ok with homosexuality but violence is 100% never cool. How would he feel if someone said that shit about him because he was black? Then it would be a HUGE news story. Do I smell a BOYCOTT (although I'm sure he doesn't seel many records anyhow)???
Yeah, it's actually really normal. A lot of moms (especially 1st timers) get hooked on the bonding of it all. Some women are afraid to stop breastfeeding because they're afraid they'll get fat again (breastfeeding tends to help you lose the baby weight faster). Doctors tell you that the baby should be weined off the tit at 1 year old and drinking whole milk. They say that you can start weining at 6 months. Thank the heavens I couldn't breastfeed when I had my daughter. Doesn't sound like much fun (and yes, I know the benefits are great)!!
Ya know... this shiz is really getting under my skin.
I became a mother when I was 18. I had excellent parents who always encouraged me to be my own person, to have safe sex, and to never rely on a man. They actually wouldn't let me watch MTV when I was between the ages of 11 and 17 because of the way that women are portrayed in music videos. I promise you, it's not just TV shows.
Look at ALL of our media. Our music, our fashion, movies... everything. Sex is everywhere. It's the same argument of models setting unrealistic goals for women thus creating a generation of women who are so obsessed with their appearance and youth that little else seems to matter to them.
I did not become a teenage mother because of the media. I became a teenage mother because I chose to be an idiot. Schools and whatnot cram safe sex down our throats before we even hit puberty. I knew about condoms and birth control (my dad says an asprin between the legs work too) and whatever but in the heat of the moment I just didn't want to be bothered.
People need to quit trying to blame something or someone and just TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS. Simple yet true.
