what IS happening to this country? cheers when we lose the olympics and outrage when our Prez wins the Nobel Peace Prize. wow. I did not like Bush but I never wished for him to fail, knowing that his failures are the country's failures. You naysayers will never be pleased no matter what this man does because you have such a personal hatred of him. You need to take a long look into your soul and ask yourself, why? But it's easier to be negative. Sad thing is that this honor, deserved or not, will only energize morons like you to find even more fault with Obama. If he had entered us into 2 wars, saw the collapse of the recession and failed to rescue disaster victims on his watch, you would consider that a success?
the only thing I'm embarrassed of is how the people of this country are reacting. our leader was given a great honor, and I believe this honor extends to the American people as well. what the world must think of us.
People, calm down. Obama did not give himself this award and it's not like they awarded it to Osama Bin Laden. I know that in some eyes Obama can do no right, but don't your dislike of him cloud your judgment. You can at least be proud as an American that our President received such an honor and help him live up to it.
better to expect much and get half, than to expect nothing and get all of it.
