You're all sitting here saying that most white Australians are racist? What kind of a statement is that to make? Talk about a generalisation.
Unlike you Americans, us Australians can actually take a joke for what it is...a joke.
This show has been around for something like 28 years without problems, and now it's all over the world in news because one stupid american had a cry when he saw 5 people with painted faces.
These boys had done this skit before, without it being a big deal and painting their faces was part of their act. Australia doesn't find the colour of peoples skin relevent as all you people do in America...obviously.
Nobody made a big deal about Robert Downey Jnr's performance in Tropic Thunder, or the Wayan's brothers in White Chicks.
And seriously, you are talking about the shade of black paint on their faces? Do you HONESTLY think the group sat around beforehand and said "okay, now what shade of darkness should we paint our faces for our performance to really stand out from the rest? Natural, Black, Tan, Brown?"
You've got to be kidding me...
Black people really need to stop thinking everyone is out to get them and be racist towards them. The world doesn't owe you any favours, what's history is history. Get over it. It's 2009.
that's funny.
so much.
