Evidently, scientists are looking for fragments near Manitou Lake, which is around 100km (about 60miles) south of Lloydminister. I think practically everyone who witnessed the meteor believed it to be really close.
I think that they are saying that the meteor landed somewhere between melfort saskatchewan and edmonton alberta, that's a pretty large distance, but definitely somewhere within central saskatchewan and alberta. It probably hit right on the border near lloydminister.
