I think it is sad that so many people are so small minded. I wonder if anyone realizes that in MANY states it was illegal prior to 1967 to have inter-racial marriages. Why? Because there were a lot of ignorant people out there that didn't believe that God agreed with it. As the Dalai Lama once said, " Whether one believes in a religion or not,
 and whether one believes in rebirth or not, 
there isn't anyone who doesn't appreciate kindness and compassion.
" Why should gays and lesbians be able to marry? Because they do not have the same rights if they can't. They can't file taxes together, they can't share insurance, hell if one of the partners is in the emergency room or ICU technically (and if the staff chooses to enforce it) they can't visit at the bedside. So yeah it's fucked up that you are willing to deny people what is not yours to deny or judge.
