Umm they didn't drop the charges they settled... i believe it was 20 million to each child, which they had to accept because there wasn't a judge in the world who was going to find Jackson "guilty."
News was slow and his death gave everyone a reason to party and sing at his funeral to further their careers... I am personally happy that Hollywood used his death just like he used those little boys for selfish and perverse reasons.

TOO MUCH! Just because he is a black man doesn't mean he should be compared to great leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. He hasn't changed the world, he has made seemingly empty promises that seem to attract Hollywood celebs (shocker!) and his contribution has yet to be justified. Until he proves himself a worthy leader, people need to stop treating him like the messiah and start realizes that "yes, we can" was tagged to great buz not to create change...
