a) It was an incorrect call -- she only lost a point because she had a warning in the first set for hitting her racket on the court in frustration (almost every tennis player has done this when down in a tough match...Nadal...etc...) b) It was a call at the most INTENSE moment of the game!! TONS of TENNIS PLAYERS (Federrer, McEnroe, Sharapova etc...) have had outbursts similar to this one c) Serena has a VERY STRONG history of coming back after almost losing d) She was very professional and let the press interview even after the outburst and said that the judge was doing her job and did not throw the sideline judge under the bus to the press. She could have refused to talk to the press.
All this being said -- SO HAPPY for CLIJSTERS!!! She ROCKS and is a HUGE COMEBACK!!! YAY KIM!!!
We love you Serena!!! :-)
