I was a huge fan when he was on AI - I am totally disillusioned with the crap he is doing now - very main stream - techno crap. He is capable of much more. Nothing special in any of this material. He belongs in the theater or performing rock - not this.

That performance was totally overboard and totally inappropriate for the occasion. This has nothing to do with being homophobic - it really has to do more with narcissism. For the life of me I have NO idea why he was even given that slot. I believe that the awards program needed a "hook" and in the end they got way more than they asked for. If it had been a female artist doing the exact same thing - I would have the exact same opinion. It was inappropriate for the targeted audience. Seems he is the one in need of being reigned in by a babysitter. His ego and his false sense of self entitlement has most probably alienated a large supporting fan base. Good luck on being nominated, let alone invited to the next awards show. He is a publicists and agents idea of a complete nightmare after his performance followed by his indignation. The fans or lack of, will determine this person's fate.

It is so different from what he sung on American Idol - his fan base was picked up from that show - and this is just some techno tune that could be anyone. There is not that Adam signature on it - there lies the problem. He sold out - even the mix of the voice masks his talent.
