on LaDouche Thinks All Actors Are "Heartbroken" at 16:11 06/10/2009Although I like Shia, I have to disagree with some of these comments. Artists live independent from the validation of others. They live as artists who know who they are. They have a strong opinions and perspectives that they are able to articulate or express through their art form. You're credentials are your ability to be innovative and entertaining as illustrated in the films you make and the experience you have that allow you to grow from one project to the next, much like school, the way people go through higher grade levels. The contradiction of not knowing what you're doing and being motivated to being the best without know exactly what you're trying to be the best at horns upon a possibility that maybe you don't look at acting as a craft or as an art form as other do and therefore you do feel as you're doing nothing more than pretending. In which case you are acting, not behaving, a technique many great actors use in order to remain unaffected by the industry and to stay focused on their craft as an artist, a reflector of society, not a victim to what other people think. I'm not judging Shia on a personal level in any way and i think he's an amazing actor, but it's something i think maybe he should consider when evaluating his feelings towards his career and acting in general. just maybe.
