Jerry is using a lawsuit previously filed against him as a basis for this one. Turns out that George Costanza is a real person in name (Mike Costanza) and persona. Seinfeld actually won in court, because among other things the court held that satire is excluded from the right to privacy under the NY civil rights statutes. I guess he believes that anything he says is above the law because he's "funny". Hopefully he doesn't get away with it this time!
