um cardiac arrest means your heart stops beating. its pretty hard to come out of that.

I don't see a problem with her spanking her children when they misbehave. I'm 16 and when I was those kids ages I got spanked too when I misbehaved. It's when the parents hit them in places other than the butt, and for no reason. Otherwise its not a big problem. Hey, atleast she didn't hit them WITH something. Theres just alot of things worse than that that she could do.
