people are disgusting. you have a child - shouldn't you be spending a little more time with your kid then going on talk shows/writing books to talk shit about your child's grandmother? every family has skeletons in their closet, things they are ashamed of, things they may be proud of, things they don't want others to know, etc. it takes a real ass of a human being to do something like that.

i don't think that everyone is trying to say gays aren't equal or bashing them - i think they're stuck on marriage as a holy sacrament - which it is, and it is between a man and a woman. the word marriage is just tricky. i believe gays deserve every right that we have - but when it comes to marriage - especially for those raised catholic - it just means something else than it may to you.
